Pump(kin) Station

I took this photo as I drove out of Zion National Park in South West USA. The pumping station is actually disused, but just out of shot is a great café serving (you guessed in….) pumpkin pie! The picture is an HDR of five images.

Luxor Palms

This picture is from Las Vegas. It ’s taken outside the Luxor hotel, one of Vega’s many themed hotels. Needless to say the Luxor has a Egyptian theme. I liked the hidden lamppost as well, I considered taking it out of the picture, but now I quite like it being there.

Taken from the top of the Empire State building at dusk. The Chrysler Building is prominent as Manhattan can be seen lighting up. There was just enough light left in the sky to make the photo. The view looking the opposite way is here.

I saw this woman sitting on a bench with her head obscured by the famous curving architecture of the Guggenheim Museum in New York. I masked the bench to keep it red whilst converting the rest of the image to black and white.

Taken looking down on two people watching the television at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The televisions and cushions formed a chill-out area for visitors. I took the image and inserted it back onto the television so they appear to be watching themselves.

Black and White conversion of an exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art New York. I’m not sure of the ethics behind photographing someone’s work or art, but I particularly liked this piece and the impact that it has.
