Mumbai Roadside

Peeping Through India

Taken on Marine Drive in Mumbai (Bombay) on a recent your of Mumbai and Kerala (see here for the gallery). The kid (a local street kid) was peering through one of a series of photographs that were part of an exhibition stretching almost the full length of the promenade.

Central Park Walk

This is a particular favourite of mine. A wintery looking Central Park in New York with a dusting of snow that adds some real atmosphere. I also applied a slight HDR effect which has resulted in the almost painting like appearance.
New York, New York

Taken from the top of the Empire State building at dusk. The Chrysler Building is prominent as Manhattan can be seen lighting up. There was just enough light left in the sky to make the photo. The view looking the opposite way is here.
Sitting

I saw this woman sitting on a bench with her head obscured by the famous curving architecture of the Guggenheim Museum in New York. I masked the bench to keep it red whilst converting the rest of the image to black and white.
Frozen Dawn

Dawn light across the frozen reservoir at Ogden Water, Halifax, UK. The reservoir was completely frozen with a dusting of snow.
Straws One

My personal favourite in a series of images taken as an entry to a competition entitled ‘Lines & Circles’. The straws were lit from the side using a snooted flash. Here’s one of the others. See some news relating to this picture here.
